Our second week in lockdown. I have established a routine: waking up at 8:00 as no commuting needed at this time. Home office until lunch break, one hour of cooking, one hour for eating and discussing with the family and then back to work.

In the morning, my home office is usually at my desktop in the dining room, after the lunch break I prefer to isolate myself into the bedroom. My husband works from home as well, and our son is busy with his homework. Just before 8 pm I call my parents in Spain and then we have the social event of the day: applauding the medical staff with our neighbours at our windows.

Then it’s free time: in my case, too much time spent on social media and browsing through my old images to find a suitable picture for my project here . I also take new images throughout the day, but I’m quickly running out of imagination as my apartment is not something I would usually consider as an interesting subject. During that time the men of the family read, play baby foot, do some screen time or sports in the apartment. After a light meal, we usually watch a film together.

We don’t go out at all. Except my husband and son who spend 30 minutes every afternoon in the tiny, stamp sized “yard” behind our building. My weekly outing takes place on Thursday when I do the grocery shopping for the whole week. I so wish I could photograph during these outings, but I’m too worried to take my camera with me and infect it by touching various surfaces and then its dials. I use my iPhone instead, but there is definitely no bond between us, I don’t understand why photographing with a phone can be so complicated.

During weekends I don’t have any routines at all. I only enjoy being in good health and with my family. These first two weeks have passed so quickly, I thought I would have plenty of time to try new things, but I have not even opened a book yet.
